What is Neurosurgery?

What is spine surgery used for?
Spine surgery is used to treat degenerative intervertebral disc disease, which causes disc bulging, disc herniation, and facet arthrosis, compressing the nerve roots that form the sciatic nerve. This causes disabling lower back pain that can radiate to the buttocks and lower limbs, generating significant disability for everyday activities such as sleeping, working, and recreation.
In the cervical region, the disease can manifest as neck pain radiating to the trapezius muscles and interscapular region.
This condition may be accompanied by numbness and cramps in the arms down to the hands, as well as weakness in fine hand movements.
